Kearney Thailand Mission Trip
| The village they are in is Huey Ngu. It is a Red Lahu Village in the Chiang Doh District, 3-4 hours northwest of Chiang Mai. They were able to drive in trucks, land rovers, or some sort of vehicle to the village. They will be working on a clean water project and some sanitation. The water source is a few miles from the village so pipelines will be laid to the sanitation tank and then the tank put in place and hopefully water line to the water spigots in the village. They will also be doing VBS with the children and some other Saturday Night Live Talent Show things. Also the guys took some soccer balls so I expect a tournament to happen! That is about all the information I know at this point. We heard from them while they were at the Bangkok Airport on Friday and I think Angela Jones called home from Chiang Mai but that is the last we have heard. We are anxiously awaiting emails but were told that no news is good news. |
